Summary & Lady Sov's response: After opening for Gwen Stefani earlier in the evening, British rapper Lady Sovereign makes it to Studio B in Brooklyn for a late night set. However, she spends most of it (after each of two songs) explaining that she's depressed, broke, didn't want to do this show, hasn't been able to create any new songs, and that "America F's you up -- F America." Then she says she can't continue and leaves. It looks like this business has taken a major toll on her. All this came after keeping the crowd waiting at least 90 minutes. The crown were rude how?? If I were there I'd be pretty pissed off if someone came on stage and whined about how bad their life is when you're expeciting to watch a performace of just 3 songs!! Leave your baggage behind when you're performing. She totally got what she deserved.

the crowd: just rude period... sov has told us she has just come out of depression. do you really think yelling "bullshit" and "fuck you" while she is trying to explaine things to us, makes anything easyer for her? i dont think so. everyone goes through depression at one point, we all no it sucks. if i was her i would do the same thing, and walk out...nobody should be treated the way sov was that night. i truely feel bad for sov, so if i could change one thing it would to be to make her happy!

I actually feel a bit sorry for Lady Chav, watching this.

She's done well for herself - especially by the standards of her unemployed fan base - so credit where it's due.

I understand now what she said in one of her interveiws that she wasn't happy she was ill she had to do concerts and gigs even if she didn't want to and that's why now she has her own label so she can do as she pleases (:
