Just something to put on my channel really.
I've always wanted to do one of these but never had the patience or inspiration before, but I've been playing Drakengard again recently and bought Nier a few weeks ago and it has that same strange appeal to me as Drakengard does, the same feelings while playing it. The two games just seem to have the same magic about them whether it's the plot, the characters the atmosphere I just don't know but something about the two games is special, something that let's me see beyond the 'problems' that other people see in the games. And while playing them I remembered something I'd read months ago, Cavia, the company behind Nier and Drakengard is no more, they're gone, no more Drakengard, no more Nier, no more hidden gems among the tiresome population of sequels and shooters. The saturation of the games industry with cop-out titles continues and the games that actually have something special about them are shunned simply because a gun doesn't go off in the first ten seconds.
R.I.P Cavia. Thanks for the memories. =(
All audio tracks are (c) to their respective users and are used for promotional purposes only. It's free advertising people, get your heads out of your arses and stop removing videos.
Tracks used (In order of appearance):
Lost Carol - Silent Hill 3
Emil Piano Remix - Nier 15 Nightmares Soundtrack
To the Future - Drakengard 2 Third Ending Montage BGM
I only used three songs because I had all the clips ready and trimmed and put into order before I added the audio (Because I like to be awkward and make things take ten times longer to finish than they normally would), annoyingly it came up short and so I added a second audio track to pad the length and the intro just seemed like too long a silence for the vid, the audio blending isn't perfect but WMM has a tendency to desynchronise everything...repeatedly.
I tried a couple of different tracks but the Nier song and the one from DG2 just worked so well and felt appropriate considering the context.
Little bit late for a tribute I know but meh.
Thanks for watching. =)
Where did you get the Emil piano vers? and did you just extract the Drankengard ost from the scene?

@Hazeleyedtaurus The Emil Piano version came from the soundtrack for the 'Fifteen Nightmares' DLC for Nier, as for the Drakengard 2 audio, yes, I simply used a youtube downloader to get the MP3 file as the track wasn't available on the soundtrack for some insane reason.

@Hazeleyedtaurus The Nier soundtrack is just staggering in terms of quality, easily outdoes most of the games released around it.
