no it was because serj wanted to do a solo and daron had to do something to due while serj did that so he made a new band called Scars on Broadway witch really isnt that bad ether then this year their drummer said they could possible be working on a new album and will possibly tour next year 2011

they have gone on a haitius dude, doing there own side projects. i think it was due to serj fucking darons girlfriend or something... but they should be back like in a year or so, maybe this year!
