  • I always knew about truck bed extenders, but I never considered one for my truck. Now I think I may want to invest in one. My only concern is that I have the really short bed on my Nissan Frontier, and I have a WS Tarpon 140. I think the bed is only 5' 6". Anyway, thanks for the info and keep em coming.

  • i have dodge dakota ... same size truck... with the bed extender i was able to carry a tarpon 16' yak well... ty

  • I have a Ford 150. With the tail gate down, I have 7 feet. I have a 15ft kayak, so I got a bed extender from Harbor Freight for less that 100 bucks, and it works great. I zip tied some pipe insultation over the part where the kayak sits for a smoother ride. Red flag is the law, but I also put red/white reflective stickers all over the extender.

  • @promark03 I got a Frontier Crew Cab and have the same issue but the extender takes care of it. Just make sure you put a red flag (or rag) behind to be within the law regarding vehicle overhang.

It always ticks me off when people get too close.
