  • was 1:00 to 1:06 shot with the 24? I guess a 24 looks like 50 right?

  • @robinleveille220988 yeah, 24mm lens on those medium shots.

  • That's amazing!

Did you use PL mount modified BOLEX?

  • @lacop Canon FD mount adapter

  • @redtail5 16 mm film is gorgeous if you shoot it right. It was also scanned and not telecined, so it is a LOT higher quality. And it was shot on daylight stock which is gorgeous. So a lot of reason.

  • I have two qustions, how did you transfer the film on to your computer and how much did the film stock cost?

  • Awesome quality! DSLRs suck!

  • how do you get it to look good like this? Most 16mm film on youtube looks like shit.

  • that's pretty awesome I'm getting ready to purchase a 16mm what would be the best I want to be able to sync sound while shooting didn't know if the Bolex is way to loud I thought about crystal sync motor all around arri or bolex which would be the best route I suppose I would shoot super 16mm for HD conversion anyways great job. Thanks for your time

  • lol... me: "hmmm all thesebands todaysound like sonic youth" ;-)

Really great shots! Once more proofs: even with all fancy gimmicks like low-contrast-profile etc. my DSLR can't compete a shiad with super16mm.

  • and! 11.11.2011 and 11 111 :) nice too

  • shortly... wow! amazing "magic hour"!

  • Amazing shots.

I'm looking to buy a bolex, but I'm wondering if you can help me choose.

The SBM is cheaper, and easier to find a magazine for {In my experience}, but it's hand-cranked. The EBM is more expensive, but from this video it seems to shoot better video, or maybe it's just the setup you got. Let me know if it's worth it to get the SBM over the EBM.

  • Beautiful camera.
