My video from October 2, 2011, AFM's Round 8 250 Superbike race ran at Thunderhill in Willows, CA.

This was a bittersweet race as I was running very well for 4 laps. When I attempted to pass my friend Mark McKinney as we crested Turn 9, the bike began running on 1 cyclinder. After trying to remedy whatever was ailing my bike, I was forced to retire from the race.

It was agonizing to look back and see that we had put about a 10 second gap on the next set of riders and then to see them pass me just before entering the pit lane was very disappointing.

Regardless of the outcome, I couldn't have been more happy about my return season to motorcycle road racing and I am looking forward to 2012 and competing at 50 years young!

Thank you to the following without whom's support I could not do this:

Barf Racing - Bud Kobza
GoPro HD cameras - Matt Jasinek
D.M. Nishihara
Eric Sullivan
Cycle Gear Racing - Max Klein
Mach1 Motorsports - Jeff Leggitt

  • @anubus6 Thank you! Chizzle gets credit for the score, he's a brilliant young musical talent. Me, I'm just an old motorcycle racer and aspiring videographer! :)

  • Love the reverse black and white shots. It makes it look so gritty. Great score selection too.
