I recently acquired a Le Creuset porcelain, cast iron French Oven.For 200 bucks And I'm going to use wooden utensils in it.So as not to scratch it. I have to buy a mix master to whip the egg whites. I called Le Creuset on their toll free and had them send me literature as well as a free recipe book . .

Was that a Le Creuset porcelain,cast iron pot you were using a metal whisk in?
Did'nt you think you should have used a plastic whisk so as not to scratch that valuable, expensive pot?

@norb1937 Hi, that wasn't a le creuset, don't worry ;) similar but cheap one. Also I don't like to use anything in plastic cause I don't think it's hygienic, plastic absorbs grease and flavors from food.
