A short movie on how to make a vegetable sandwich. This is one method besides drinking vegetable juice for getting some vegetables in you. This is a tasty sandwich.

Note, onions should not be left out or be placed in the refrigerator for over a day or so because bacteria/toxins and gastronomical problems can result.

Besides the toppings/vegetables shown, you can also add such things as tomatoes, other types of peppers (sometimes mango's are more or less incorrectly referred to as peppers as I have in the video), salad dressing (light coating only - due to bad oils - just for a bit of flavor), mustard, spices, maby a small amt. of cooked meat or chicken or imitation bacon bits (soy). Typically, grate, dice or chop the vegetables into small pieces. Grating is a good way to prepare hard carrots, and they often taste a bit sweet this way. Unlike the video, you can mix the vegetables together and then add them to the bread together.

I used a hoagie/sub bun in the video, however, you can use a sandwich bun or just plain old bread. If your conscience about processed foods and better nutrition, it is suggested to use a better bread such as WHOLE WHEAT (see the videos made by Urgelt; I've gotten a response and should have known to suggest that originally). See, as I mentioned in one of my videos text, refined flour such as white breads and pasta can be dangerous if taken in large amounts because it can turn to sugar and then fat. Refinement will ruin its nutritional value.

I tried to make a sandwich with veggies, but not too sure what I could put on it. Sure there is corn, peas and cucumbers, but I thought it would not make a traditional sandwich, they are good in a side dish though, but not sure as in a veggie hoagie.

Also, try "big leaf" lettuce rather than head or "ice-berg" lettuce. I shown both in the video, and regular head lettuce is weak in nutrition value. Try to get "green" lettuce.

This sandwich is a nice cool treat in the summer since no cooking is involved.

We may eat alot to be stuffed, however we also might be nutritionally starving.

Here is a Wikipedia article about the "white bread" that includes some making and nutrition:

For a comedic approach to a veggie sandwich, I have found this early YouTube upload:

It was very late at night when I made this video, so I hope I got the message across that vegetables can be edible besides in a salad or side dish.

A tomato is technically a fruit ("offspring") because it contains the seeds ("fruit") of the tomato plant. Likewise, peppers (or "mango-peppers") are fuits. Most cooks consider tomatos and peppers as vegetable. Vegetables are technically the leafy parts of edible plants.
