I agree! If they just garaged it, it would still be new. The people who thought of this should have been buried in the tomb along with the car, what a bunch of idiots!

What a ridiculous thing they did. That car would had been better in the hands of a car enthusiast. I surely bet it would be in better condition than this heap of rust and junk. My respect to those who are trying to restore it, but for the looks of it better go and buy any used Belvedere, LOL.

The ancient Egytians, using rocks hand tools, built chambers that preserved artifacts pristinely for thousands of years.
Americans in the atomic age, with bulldozers, modern surveying equipment, and concrete, couldn't preserve something for 50 years any better than if it had been left out in the weather the whole time.
That says a lot.
