@MrBoringxD Technically speaking, half of modern day Sweden was part of Danish rule at the time. So, it started in both Sweden and Denmark.

@fjasserik yep, modern Sweden was devided by several states, viking tribes with their own viking chiefs. Also Denmark hired many viking merchenaries from Sweden when they conquered England.
