To disseminate and develop awareness in renewable energy technology

By 2002, The Board of Grameen Bank was congratulating CEO Dipal Barua for having installed 10000 solar energy systems; that's 10000 systems in 7 years; now in 2008 , 10000 systems are installed monthly! Today, Grameen Shakti is hiring 200 employees a month. Plans 100000 green jobs by 2012. And soon Bangladesh will have a new export item: Solar Power.

Future Capitalism Invitations: From MicroCreditSummit to MicroEnergy Summit

Anyone who has seen friends of Dr Yunus around Grameen Bank collaboratively extend peer to peer entrepreneurship through microcredit from 12 million (mainly Bangladeshi women) served in 1997 to 100 million of poorest worldwide in 2006 may choose be an early collaboration partner in MicroEnergySummit

This video shares the purpose of Dipal Barua as a person - for a video inviting leadership partners click http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YewyIARIaIM

Dipal Barua tells us that healthy societies compound string economies not vice veras. In the top 10 to trust at http://worldentrepreneur.net , his co-workers brings deep communal spirit reflecting his life as a Buddhist, Gandian, co-founder and deputy of head of the Bank (Grameen) that is a www benchmark for sustainability investment in people's productivity. This is part of the Gandhi Millennium Prize Citation to Grameen Bank :

Grameen Bank's Innovation: banking system in rural areas that is based on mutual trust, solidarity, participation, peer monitoring and accountability. Its operations indicate the faith of its founding father, Muhammad Yunus, that if financial resources are made available to the poor on terms and conditions that are appropriate and reasonable "these millions of small people with their millions of small pursuits can add up to create the biggest development wonder." The success of grameen bank has won international acclaim and emulation. With its participatory approach, emphasis on women entrepreneurs, women's empowerment and employment creation, the microcredit projects have come to be hailed as a very promising approach to poverty eradication.
