If you'd like to be an exchange student, contact your local Rotary Club. I'm going to Germany August 2011 for a year. They're great, they help you set up everything and get scholarships to help with the cost of everything :)

search for it on the internet, YFU for example is a organisation that's already giving foreigners the chance to come to germany for about 50 years or so, they have great experience and good prizes... sorry for my bad english, normally i do not suck that much, but it's already pretty late here and i'm friggin tired^^;
i hope you'll have the chance to come to my country, we germans love exchange students and their cute accents when they try to speak our language x3
Bye^^

i am german and in my school we have "only" an american exchange with a high school in north andover near boston, massachussets (did i write it correctly?^^). my mother is a teacher and at her school they "only" have an exchange with an english school in croydon, london.
every autumn the germans go to london for 7 days and live in the families of the english pupils. in spring they come to germany. in my school it's nearly the same. about 15 germans go to the us for 3 weeks in autumn and so on

Every year we (english) either go to germany for 12 days, or the german people come here. They stay in our houses and we go on different trips every day, things like theme parks, and there are open houses in the evenings. Its all good fun, and yes, there is an american exchange, but I dont go on it.
