This is such a beautifull animal, as much as I love snakes I think the Bitis varieties are my absolute favorite.

Does the green coloration indicate that they are somewhat arboreal? The B. Parviocula must be the most beautiful species in Africa, maybe the world!

I don't know if you know this but most vipers have to be force fed when you first get them! That's why when you were holding the the rat on the rod like a foot away from him he wasn't even going to take it,but when you put it up close to his face he was prospecting it and decided he was going to take it.
