@Enoch2 The Revelation is given to the church for the benefit of ... the church!! :)
1 Pet 1,10-12 concern what was revealed to the prophets of Israel about the future salvation of those who believed in the resurrected Christ. (No bearing on the subject in hand.)
As for Rom 11,25 the book of Revelation reveals that the fullness of the Gentiles comes in at the close of the great tribulation. Then the remnant of Israel will be saved at the return of Christ, and the Word of God will be fulfilled.

@Enoch2 Your thinking around Rev 22,16 is going beyond what is written. Jesus says there that what is revealed in the Revelation is for the churches. Period. It is given to tell the universal church what will befall it in the end-time, primarily about what will happen to it under the beast prior to the second coming. The church needs to have strength to get through the dark days before the return of Christ. Concerning v.17 - Those who 'hear' and 'come' become in turn a part of the bride. Simple.

I say Revelation is given to the church for the primary benefit of future Israel (NOT Jews in the church), just as the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow was testified in Israel for the primary benefit of the future church! This is God's way.
"Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things" see 1 Peter 1:10-12
Also read Rom 11:25. Israel remains blind in part until AFTER the fulness of the Gentiles has come in!

@ar You paraphrase rather creatively...Rev 22:16 says Jesus sent his angel "to testify unto you these things in the churches." It doesn't say it is only for the church--what about all who will believe through our word (Jn 17:20), even after the (pretrib) Rapture? Jn 14:29 may give a reason why Jesus tells things when He does; so that when it comes to pass, people will believe.
Notice the next verse (Rev 22:17) has a group of people who are not the bride, yet they hear these things...!

@Enoch2 You base your thinking on the fabricated idea of a pre-trib rapture to heaven of the church. By doing this you break the internal evidence of the book of Revelation as to the identity of the people who believe in Jesus in the tribulation. The book itself and the whole NT witness that the brethren / saints / servants in the tribulation are those who constitute the Church - made up of believing Israel (Jews) and Gentiles. In Rev 22,16 Jesus says the whole revelation is 'for the churches'.

@arovir I believe the nature of our conflict is that you seem to believe that Israel is part of the church (maybe Jews who believe in Jesus?), so if you see ANY believers on earth during the trib, to you that proves your point.
To me, Jews today who believe in Jesus are in the Church, not Israel (Phil 3:5-7, esp. 7, LOSS FOR CHRIST). After the pretrib Rapture, it will be ISRAEL on the earth, not the church. Servants, brethren, and saints will then all be Israelites and the Gentiles among them.

@Enoch2 Moses was a servant in the OT. We are servants in the NT. Christ says directly in Rev 2,20 His servants are those in the church. The NT disallows you to say servants are the 'faithful children of Israel' and not the whole Church (Jew & Gentile). Rev 1,1 says the Revelation of Christ is for Christ's servants (only faithful children of Israel??!)
Rev 22,3 says Christ's servants will serve Him in eternity (only faithful children of Israel??!).
The context of Rev. doesn't support you there.
What does this scripture refer to?
ISAIAH Chapter 26
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

@jbooks888 Isaiah 26,20-21 speaks of the coming of the Lord out of "his place" (heaven). This is described in Rev 19,11ff - "I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it...." The Lord will punish the wicked on earth and tread the winepress of the wrath of God, Rev 19,15. Those who belong to the Lord are beckoned to a place of safety while this indignation of the Lord lasts. The context of the hiding of God's people "for a little moment" is definitely post-trib.

How do you explain the church not mentioned between Rev 3-22 and this hint of the Rapture in Rev 4:1 immediately following the last mention of the church before Jesus' return?
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter."
I interpret the 'things which must be hereafter' as the things which happen after the Rapture.

@Enoch2 Let me add: Saints are mentioned 13 times in the Revelation. Many of these references are in the tribulation chapters. The word ’saints’ is used 47 times from Acts to Jude of those who make up the churches/universal church. Therefore we CANNOT presume the saints in Revelation are not those who make up the churches/universal church. Put the notion of pre-trib aside and you will see that EVERYTHING in Scripture fits perfectly. Seek the Lord and He will open your eyes, like He did mine. :)
