This is hopeless, they just dont get it. Not so tasteful, flashy effects isnt great. if it gets in the way of performance thats aweful. Think. whats elegant? whats simple and focused on usefulness? If its not essential, dont have it there, keep it as an option. A sense of asthetics is great, show good taste. But dont make it for geeks, make it for people with lives, let linux add value to them.

COOL!

You can either add the repository for your card (ati, nvidia..) or compile kernel modules (which is also easy).

does OpenSuse automatically install your graphics driver? I tried Ubuntu and Fedora and I feel like it's not utilizing my graphics card. I'm thinking about using OpenSuse 10.3 or OpenSuse 11. Oh and I have a 8600 GT.

OpenSuse doesn't automatically install graphics driver but installation is very easy :)
