I love being a gearhead! And I love my Golf MKV. (Really a Rabbit, but I personally don't like that name.)  I have it chipped with exhaust, carbonio air intake, changed to thicker sway bars, new 1.5" lower suspension, (plus other things that doesn't help acceleration - like a whole Jetta front end) It's not a GTI but with the mods, it's enough to outrun a stock GTI. I'm sure I couldn't take a chipped GTI, unless I bolted a turbocharger onto the 2.5 I-5.

Before I saw all the comments of stating that this is 'Fifth Gear' not 'Top Gear', I had the same reaction. It's just so funny that we all get so disgusted that someone would insult Top Gear. I'm with y'all, but I have to sit back and laugh about our reaction. Why doesn't someone change the name?

I have nothing against germany, they make GREAT cars but no wounder they aren't the best at speaking english cause of all the TV programs are in German.. Great car btw ;)
