The film opens with Jack (Simon Phillips) tied to a chair in a warehouse, guarded by heavies. The Well Dressed Man (Mike Reid) watches as hes being beaten up and lectures Jack about respect. Natalie (Sari Sheehan) is there too, and is clearly not in the Well Dressed Mans good books. As one of the heavies removes Jacks gag, the Well Dressed Man points a gun at his head. The scene fades to black, followed by two gunshots.

Jack awakens in a bathroom in London next to the corpse of the Well Dressed Man. Having been hit around the head and suffering from amnesia, he cannot remember how he or the body got there. The last thing he remembers is having the gun pointed at him. He searches his pockets and finds a Polaroid picture with the name Erin and a Paris address written on the other side. Hearing police sirens, he decides to leave, figuring Paris is good place to lie low.

In a lively Paris bar the Messenger (Daniel Roberts) pushes his way through the vibrant crowd and into the dressing room area. Girl X (Aurelie Amblard) is changing. He is here to deliver a message and some flowers from Garvey (Rula Lenska), who is unhappy with Girl X fraternizing with men in the bar. To really make the point, he leaves a packet with her, which she discovers contains a ring and some teeth.

Jack arrives in Paris and stops at Erins (Jacks ex-girlfriend). She agrees to take him in. The next day, Jack heads out to explore Paris. He enters a bar and watches Girl Xs show. Enamored with her, he heads backstage, and interrupts the Messenger delivering another message from Garvey. Jack swiftly knocks outs the Messenger & takes his gun. Girl X offers to pay Jack to permanently dispose of Garvey, who is obsessed with her. Jack declines the offer and goes back to Erins apartment where he falls asleep in the doorway.

Erin returns and they head out for a night on the town and they walk along the Paris riverside, flirt and discuss their previous relationship. Jack explains that he ended things to protect her, as his life meant dealing with dangerous people. The sexual tension between them crescendos and they head home to bed.

In the morning, Jack discovers a positive pregnancy test kit in the bathroom. Realizing it has only been a few months since they split, and Erin has been single since, he knows the child is his. Erin declares her love for him but he doesnt respond.

Later that night Jack discovers that Erin has been brutally murdered. A bloody warning, stay away from Girl X has been daubed on the wall. Jack heads to see Girl X, and tells her he will now deal with Garvey believing she is the one that murdered Erin. A quick plan is devised where Girl X acts as bait to lure Garvey. Jack threatens Garvey, but doesnt kill her. Girl X enters the restaurant and sees Jack and Garvey realizes the two are colluding. They run, but Jack is struck around the head by the heavies and captured.

The blow to Jacks head makes him remember what happened in the warehouse; Jack and Natalie had been having a secret affair, and Natalie killed the Well Dressed Man, who was her father. She then knocked Jack out and dumped him next to the body to try to frame him.

Jack wakes, tied to a chair in a warehouse. This time he is at the mercy of Garvey. She is interrupted by a call from Girl X, and leaves. Jack escapes and goes to the bar to kill Garvey, but discovers Girl X has already killed her. Girl X accidentally reveals that she killed Erin to dupe Jack into going after Garvey. Jack attacks Girl X, who staggers out to the bar and dies spectacularly on stage. Jack takes the package with his payment. It also contains a picture of Michelle, Girl Xs daughter. Jack realizes that this is the person she was trying to protect, and is now in danger from Garveys men.

At Garveys restaurant, Jack kills the Messenger and rescues Michelle. Seeing a chance to try to make things right and be the father he wanted to be to Erins unborn child, he takes Michelle with him to an unknown destination.
