I guess videolover326 was correct. This one came from the beginning of "Ali Baba Bound" on the Star Classics "Bugs Bunny" VHS tape. "The Wabbit Who Came to Dinner" the one that videolover326 posted recently had the SMPTE Universal leader film countdown shown right towards the start of the cartoon.

actually i have seen lots of different leaders, another one i saw had like a cross though it and the numbers they were spelled out instead.

This leader comes from the 1960 short industrial film "American Maker" produced by Jam Handy for Chevrolet. This leader, and the film itself are available in DVD quality at archive.org

Watcher3223 is right. This is academy leader.

Don't know but I'm sure the word "reel" is in there since SMPTE required leaders to specify what reel it is and how many reels would be used for a particular cinematic or television work.

This is very different to Universal SMPTE.

This is an Academy head. Each number represents one foot of film while each number in the SMPTE countdown represents one second.
