Hmmmm...oh Sufjan. For some reason I get the impression that the movement is supposed to add action or more meaning to the words. Sometimes its the subtle approach that allows the listeners to focus on the lyrics. I agree; this is hard to watch. Still an enormous fan; and always! XoXo

@almostblue22 You're kidding, right? The performances from the European tour look and sound even better than the US ones in my opinion. I mean, in one of the Impossible Soul videos, he jumps on top of the freaking piano during the dance segment! If anything, he's putting more energy into these performances than he was before.

He is totally phoning it in! I hope this was the first show of this tour. Atleast then you can chock it up to the band being on its way to finding its groove. Yikes, this is hard to watch. Especially compared to all the live concert footage from the Fall 2010 tour.
Maybe he's just tired of these songs. He sucked all the juice out of them.
I still love Sufjan though. I hope he kills it on whatever he does next. Strength, Sufjan, strength!
