@sansaviera However, having said that let me add this: Duplantis and his ilk are good milk for the hungry baby Christians who need a laugh because they are caught up in their personal hell-holes such as depression, obsession, debt, divorce, illness, etc. As you said earlier, Prov. 17:22: A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
God the Holy Spirit is a personal savior and the bible is prophetic word that also places high emphasis on truth and cautions us to beware of false prophets. Personally, I stopped following preachers and churches some time ago because I had to learn the hard way about corrupted spirits. I am not ragging so much on Duplantis as pointing out that this is not actually spiritual but earth-bound revelry which is tempting but not edifying. My choice, God's free will allows us to sin or be wrong/right.
My thoughts are not Gods thoughts and my ways are not Gods ways so I choose to listen to hear from God he can tell me if someon is a false teacher. I don't presume to use my brain to figure out how God brings in souls to his kingdom. Whether through something serious, laughter or fear. It's his business how he chooses to get his word out to his children. I have been in many type of churches and each preacher has his style. What matters is the word he is teaching.
Yes we all do have a right to our opinion. God gives us free will for the choices we make. God also say touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. Since their is no way to be 100% absolute certain that he is not Gods preacher I choose air on the side of caution when it comes to preachers. As long as the message lines up with God who I am to say how it should be presented. I don't want God asking me why I didn't obey him and do his prophets no harm.
@sansaviera you are entitled to your opinion mine is that this is not a real sermon or good preaching, it's a comedic performance & there is nothing edifying about this as if God is all a big fricken joke well, golly gee so much for that but I'd prefer some true Christian content not somebody's act. Yes, everybody is going to remember this as funny but that's only good for raising money for corporate jets
This is a sermon that people will remember and listen to instead of falling asleep or just warming the bench. There is nothing wrong withi laughter. God said a merry hear doeth good like a medicine. Everyone there tonight will remmeber God is able!
Exodus Chapter 20:Vers.17 the tenth commandment: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
that was great !
