Could be a marshal. Ops and other chiefs usually use Ford Excursions I think they. Excursions or Expeditions. Not exactly sure what the truck was next to the ambulance.

@fire904 the crown vics that the FDNY use are usually special ops division, but they were soon replaced with the excursions, i believe they still have about 3-4 crown vics still in use tho

I was on the ambulance on this call...yes tragically somebody did die. The Crown Vic belongs to an EMS Deputy Chief. He got there before us amazingly. EMS Chiefs use the marked and unmarked Vic's since the other supervisors use Excursions and older Suburbans. The head chief of EMS (J.J. Peruggia) has an unmarked Excursion as well.

U know I think it's a collapse rescue vehicle or a TAC. They are usually outside the station like at Tenhouse.
What is the Crown Vic for? Fire Marshal? Ops?

I'm not sure. There was a Hazmat truck there though that was parked next to the ambulance. There were also 3 police emergency service trucks at the call. I saw ladder 24, Rescue 1, ladder 7 and an engine but I didn't get the number. I heard later on that someone died at this accident.
