St Paul, Mn Fire Dept. Responding to a Apt. Fire Alarm

The fire alarm went off at my apartment building. The St,. Paul Fire Departmant respnded with Engine 24 and Ladder 24. The alarm was a malfunction.

Is your building set up where the SPFD comes every time a smoke alarm goes off too? My Dad knew someone back in NY who was in a building like that, I guess they came for everything from burnt toast to the real thing.

No, it is a local aralm. I had to tell someone to call 911. Funny thing is that hardly anyone came out of the building. Many people were on their balconies after the fire trucks came.

Some of our buildings in St. Paul are set up that way as well. Not all of them, but some.

Well atleast your building wasn't on fire, in like Washington, DC any time an alarm in a building sounds they send an engine and a ladder, I mean at every single alarm, it's crazy.

Okay, just wondering :-) I know one thing, if I ever live in an apartment I want renter's insurance, too many accidental apartment fires out there to not have it.
