The US Flag Set on Fire and Burnt Down At Berkeley Protest

The US Flag was set on fire and burnt down during the Berkeley Protest over the Marine recruiters at about 7-20 pm on 02/12/2008 at Berkeley, California. The Berkeley Anti-War Group "Code Pink" is said by many protesters to have set the flag on fire.

The "Star Wars" music was played from the boombox brought by one of the protesters.

@USMC1775GUY My Dad fought on Iwo Jima and yes he's proud of our flag but I knew him and he certainly wouldn't beat anybody up for burning a flag as much as it disgusted him I was in the army but saw no combat not out of choice but because they wanted me to use my electrical skills and I have to say I would just ignore those morons not engage in a brawl with them This is a free country no matter how it sometimes infuriates people No body's going to make me leave this country except feet first

@pittistheshit86 hitting someone is violence. Violence against an individual who is not attacking you or anyone else is criminal. Beating them up is wrong and criminal. That's a fact. I'm not okay with someone burning the flag, but that doesn't mean you beat up the person!! This country is hopefully getting better and people are more likely to be reasonalbe and civil.
