Our Stand On Bill 50

ENMAX (and its predecessors) has been a trusted energy provider in Alberta for more than 100 years.

It is for this reason that we cannot stand by and watch as Bill 50 is quietly pushed through - a law that would allow the need for billions of dollars in transmission projects to be decided on behind closed doors.

If the transmission lines being proposed are approved, Albertans will be forced to foot the bill for these projects which, according to our calculation, may see transmission costs for residential and business consumers triple!

You dont deserve to be left in the dark about major decisions affecting the future of electricity in Alberta.

Together we can stop Bill 50 and encourage the exploration of more environmentally friendly, cost effective alternatives to the proposed transmission lines.
