I actually like this song about as much as "Windowlicker." I've only had LSD (and did enjoy that subtle color bleed on stars after sunset) once, but actually like smoking a small or bowl or just being cold sober and closing my eyes while listening to this song.
It's great because all of Richard's unique textures and all the varied rhythms in this song make it feel like it's a story in instrumental form - like the sound effects of a short space opera.
