  • Just to end the argument.

"Got To Get You Into My Life was one I wrote when I had first been introduced to pot. I'd been a rather straight working-class lad but when we started to get into pot it seemed to me to be quite uplifting... I didn't have a hard time with it and to me it was mind-expanding, literally mind-expanding.

So Got To Get You Into My Life is really a song about that, it's not to a person, it's actually about pot."

  • Isn't this song about marijuana? Its not Linda...

  • all true, but as always with Paul's songs it can be applied to something : a new Love or some blow, in this case .....

  • @DeerStop69 it was about weed you n00b

  • Don't really know if it's a bit far-fetched, but; "What can I do, What Can-I-Be (Cannabis?)" - when one takes the rest of the facts in consideration...

  • lmfao best song about pot I've heard XD

  • This song brings back memories of the summer ahh good times! ;)

  • @allstar00442288 Mary Jane is a girl :) head on over to "Mary Jane" by Rick James for other examples. They use personification to bring the inanimate object alive, and adds a new layer to the relationship between a person and a plant. It can be interpreted just as a girl, but I believe Paul had ganja on his mind when writing this.

  • Many people don't know that Paul wrote this song for the Supremes, but, Berry Gordy rejected it, as he had everything-writing, musicians, etc.-in house...
