Listening to this is kinda' a throwback to Herbie Hancock's "Eye of the Hurricane" actually heard the bassist make small quote from Spank-a-Lee, very nice! Structured but free at the same time. Nice vibe.

This is really off the chain. Not just saying that because Robert is from Texas, like me, but these three guys are always going to put it down and bring some real good jazz for your ears to listen to.

Its certainly not hummable radio pop, but so much of that is just dead and not creative. This is just complex, groovy, jazz (Daddy is a monster). Those who don't "get it," keep listening, great music is an acquired taste. Check out Medeski, Martin and Wood for another awesome vibe that grows on you. Billy Martin, also one of the modern greats at drums.
