This video is not an official Red Cross Video Communication. Training exercise scenario. Members of the Banff Red Cross Branch act as the casualties from a pleasure craft which has exploded close to the beach. They scatter along the coast line with one member who has reportedly fallen from the cliffs during his race to help the other casualties. Elgin Red Cross Response Unit attend the scene to provide the First Aid and recover the casualties from the shore. The Elgin branch were given no prior clues as to what or where the scenario would be nor the injuries they would face. This sort of exercise helps the Red Cross improve the service they provide and also acts as a valuable source of realistic training for the new recruits.
