I'll bet that you and Spud were the best of pals. He protected you. I see this was from 20 years ago. When my niece was a baby, we had a Chihuahua Rat Terrier mix, her name was Trixie and she was the same way, she protected Danielle. We have a Dachshund named Lucky, he's just like Spud is, he protects Danielle's son.
