Why Isn't There a Pokemon MMORPG?

Since Pokemon red and blue the series has been begging to just be tossed online and given the MMO treatment. Thing is everyone but Nintendo seems to think this, so as a fan I feel the need to address it, and have all you other fans speak your mind too.

Make a Pokemon MMO, and also connect it with Pokemon TCGO. That is all. DO IT NINTENDO/GAMEFREAK! DO IT! HAVE MY MONEY! AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!

For the gyms, I think a better way to handle it would be: A) Tournaments and winner gets to have their own gym. And not some unofficial tournament held by GameFAQs or GameSpot (lol) but ones officially sponsored and endorsed by Nintendo and GameFreak. That'd prove the winner is strong enough.

OR B) after a while if they got a really, really impressive win-loss record (ex: 1500 wins to 50-75 losses) then they're granted the opportunity to make their own gym.

Either or would work imho. :)

omg.. imagine the MMO being something like pokepark... and you have to battle the original gym leaders like you do on the console game :) you would get to fight brock and misty and they could totally get the original voice actors to voice them :D .. and also there would be a quest where you have to defeat team rocket!.. tots having a nerdgasm right now :)
