September 30, 2008 - Stepping Stones Museum for Children welcomed 2,300 visitors on Saturday, September 27 for Worldwide Day of Play, 250 more visitors than last year.
This free event was designed to help children and families get moving and focus on the importance of a healthy active lifestyle. Special activities included sports clinics and demos including basketball, golf, tumbling, yoga, jump roping, stilt walking, a Radio Disney dance party and more.
The event was held in celebration of the Alliance for a Healthier Generations Go Healthy month, a partnership between the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Lead support for the event was provided by GE Commercial Finance with additional support from Pepperidge Farm and Stamford Tent & Event Services.
