For those of you who are new to the game, these tips are not intended to coach players who already have a good stroke and use english in their pool game. Recently I have received some negative comments from those players who apparently do not understand english and most likely are not comfortable with their stroke. There are some fundamentals you must learn before attempting more advanced techniques such as; english, masse, jump shots etc... you can not build a house on sand, build your foundation first before moving on to your advanced game and "Good Luck" - Thanks for watching "Dean's Pool Tips." and is available on DVD at http://mypooltv.com

  • How important woud you say is the quality of the table and cue's when attempting trickier shots. I play on some dodge tables and its hard to get the good shots right.

  • Very important, you need the table to be of quality otherwise what's the point, all that you do depends on the quality of the table.

  • im paused at 15 seconds. after seeing this easy pool trick at the beginning and being highly unimpressed that someone tried to impress me with this "trick" shot i am leaving and not watching the rest.

  • Thanks for watching but it's not about "Trick Shots" it's about learning basic techniques in pool playing, and if you have some awsome trick shots you would like share I suggest you do a "You Tube" Video - Good Luck!

  • Should I put a very soft leather cue tip on my cue for max english?

  • Yes it would help, but don't use this cue for breaking or jumping.

    Thanks for the comment,

    Thanks for the comment,

  • Remember, when you line up your shot do not think about English, just line up the shot.

Now when you stroke, position the cuetip left or right from center of the cueball to create spin, but remember stay on target. Thanks for the comment.
