The MADD ppl always make the 3 same point, over and over again. But
1) The 49 studies don't ever clearly define 'alcohol related fatalities' & 1 of the most basic rules to any study in any field is that correlation does NOT mean causation
2) Even though the brain is still developing it takes SIGNIFICANT amounts of alcohol consumption to really affect it. Ask yourself this, is the rest of the world brain damaged?
3)Intoxication is more common in other countries, but wtf is 'intoxication' anyway?!

facts so if 18-20 year old brains are not developed enough to handle alchol neither is 21-24 yr olds, the point is MADD should not sit there and talk about science being on their side when in fact it is severly against it and in my opinion the drinking age should be 18 in respects to constitutional rights as well as a lot of other reasons, to me it just makes sense 18 all the way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL America is one of the few (only 3 other) countries in the World that still legalises discrimination based on age. You know how I know this? 18 year olds in America are classed as adults & share all the same legal rights but when it comes to alcohol they just simply aren't mature enough until they reach 21...that is blatant age discrimination. Thats like banning people over 50 years old from drinking because it is bad for their health. America is a shithole, just admit it guys...

The drinking age should be 0. It is none of the governments business what individuals put in their body. Parents should work with their kids to decide when they can drink.

i started drinkin at 16 i live in ireland i wasnt even the youngest person drinking. i love ireland i can drink at 18 so america lower the drinking age so the irish dont have to show you up every time we go to the states

The USA has a higher minimum Legal Drinking age than any Country in the European Union, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, China, Brazil, Argentina, Turkey, Indonesia , Taiwan or almost any other country with the exception of a few Islamic States.

The drinking age is bullshit. I think that it may be ok for 18 yrolds to have some restrictions on alcohol, but to have alcohol totally banned from an adult (18) is a breach on the U.S. being a free country. Well guess what, this isn't a free country, otherwise 18+ would be able to drink beer... Fucking government just does whatever they want.

You are fucking stupid. It is age discrimination, that is all it is. You know Bill Richardson was drinking way before 18. Bunch of ball washin bastards. It's all you WW II dinosaurs who are killing our generation with your damn rules. The drinking age should be 18 in this country, becuase I gaurantee if I can go to war I should be able to drink. Ages 18-21 is when you have the most fun anytimes anyways. The MADD organization can go to hell in my opinion.
