@dingle1 Totally agree ;) sadly enough, people tend to overrate Jimmy Page and forget about Ritchie Blackmore who probably was at the origin of more guitarists' vocation than Jimmy... Don't misunderstand me, I love both of them but technically, Ritchie is by far a better player as a classical-trained musician... Actual shredders owe everything to Ritchie (see Kill The King)... my two pence... cheers

The reel record on Blackmore´s right is to do an effect of delay.
This is engineering and artistic sensibility put on the top, eh?

the live album "on stage" is my favorite live album until now .
R.I.P Ronny and Cozy you made me dream a lot when I was young.
Ritchie is still my favorite solo guitar player.

@dingle1 Not to mention one of the greatest drummers aswell.

Pure quality. I saw them twice, with Dio and Bonnet. Ritchie worked the magic though,
Such a shame that two of the five seen here are no more. Cozy and Ronnie RIP.

30 years on, I don't think its anywhere near appreciated the huge influence Blackmore has had on electric guitar playing. Of all the great guitar showman there are around since the early 80s, you can see Richie in all of them. And he's all over the shred movement, esepcially the neo clasical stuff. One of the greatest players of all time without a doubt, teamed here with the greatest rock vocalist ever.
