Front Mission 4 - Durandal Battle Simulator 13

This video shows a bit of Battle Simulator 13 on the Durandal scenario. This is one of the 4 North American-exclusive Simulators and it doesn't appear in the Japanese version.

This is generally considered the hardest Battle Simulator in the game for a few reasons.

First, you have to split up into 2 groups of 3 to destroy enemies on both sides. There are 11 enemies per side so it's not an easy fight. The enemy composition is also strong, featuring 2 Missileers with powerful Missile Launchers and a bunch of pesky Recons.

Second, the enemies can't reach the bottom floor or you will fail. This is hard given half of the enemies sport Jetpacks and good ones at that. An EMP Backpack is a must, if not for the Antilock feature.

Third, to unlock Battle Simulator 14, you must beat this within 15 turns. This is the hardest part of the Battle Simulator even if you come well prepared.

For beating this Battle Simulator, you have the option of 3 Backpacks.

1. JP-75 Adler II - a super Jetpack with 240 Power and 4 Item Space.
2. EMP-9F Licorne II - a super EMP Backpack with 100 Power and 4 Item Space.
3. RD33-Glocke II - a super Radio Backpack with 100 Power, 4 Item Space, and an insanely strong Air Strike at 1860.

Seriously, how can I unlock this simulator? I just completed the sims 9 to 12, most of them under 10 turns and one within 13.

aww .. i liked the little jumpy robots in fm3 better ... now playing this game, pretty good so far :)

WHat a shame for me not paying attention to the objective screen i had no idea they couldnt reach the bottom floor =(

I destroyed all the enemies except for the rocketeers and the bazooka/EMP robots. I was only on TURN 6 when an enemiy slipped by, and got to the bottom floor. o well. I read your walkthrough on gamefaqs and it helped me throughout, thanks.

Ooo come on this is easy. But i still wan to know y u set her to used Roket? and how the hell to win this with only by 15turn

Ive fought this one it took me about 20 tries to get it but then my dumbo of a brother had to step on the disc.....finally got my hands on anotehr one but the save file is long gone.:(
