Joe Bonamassa - The Ballad Of John Henry Live In Glasgow 2009

This is a killer blues/rock performance from Joe Bonamassa at the O2 Academy. It is a folklore from West Virginia, a man called John Henry who raced against a steam powered hammer and won, but died afterwards. The tale has inspired plays, novels and many songs.

This was Joe's second song that night, Joe played for 2 hours, plus a great acoustic support act.
Sorry about the audio/visual quality - I was using an Olympus compact camera, that's not a pretext for my shaky filming though! Fortunately no "kill joy" security interrupted me.
A night of entertainment quickly transformed into an outstanding, memorable concert. I first heard about him touring on my local radio station, and I thought "wth, it's a Monday night and I'm dayin' nothin' else." Crikey, I wasn't expecting this.

Seriously, if he comes to a town near you, he's amazing live and I recommend you go see him.
