After Arthur and Morgana get together romantically Morgana tells Arthur that they have to end it, as she worries about him or his father finding out about her growing magical powers. So Arthur tries to move on (Sophia, the "Blower's Daughter"), but he just can't stop gazing at and thinking about Morgana as they continue their lives in close proximity to one another, and still loving each other, until he eventually finds someone new (Gwen).
This isn't really AU so much as my take on a possible future of the pairing, which I think will have to be tragic and angsty, and I think the tone and lyrics of this song really fit well--especially since Arthur does spend a lot of time looking at Morgana, as seen in the clips! ;) The sepia-colored sections show flashbacks or lost possibilities. I tried to do my best with some of the more (characteristic of Damien Rice) obscure and ambiguous lyrics of the song, though your own interpretation of the lyrics may vary. I'm enclosing them below since some of them are hard to understand....

Awesome video!! This is one of my favorite songs and I love that you used it to make and Arthur/Morgana video. The lyrics are really haunting and so fitting. I can feel how tormented Arthur is having to see and be near Morgana each and everyday and not being able to be with her. It totally breaks my heart. And poor Morgana having to give up the man she loves because she's scared.
I love how much he stared at her. This video showcases it wonderfully. Season 1 will for ever be my favorite.
