I will never understand why this movie didn't take the Academy Award. It was an absolutely stunning, flawless film.

A line weighted with so much meaning. His capitalist ambitions have reduced him to such childlike decadence that he doesn't even care if his servant sees that he's killed a man, like asking him to wipe his arse after he's gone to the toilet. So pertinent to today's laissez-faire politicians.
