Buteyko Method is not similar to Western Yoga. Buteyko makes physiological sense, has a health appraisal measurement and produces quick and direct results for asthma, snoring, sleep apnoea, anxiety and other conditions related to chronic hyperventilation syndrome. It is not good for Western man to breathe big breaths. This disrupts blood gases and impairs the release of oxygen from the blood cells.

  • You mention blood oxygen levels of 95 - 98 what is optimum please? 10 breaths/min and oxy at same levels. 6 breaths/min and oxy at 95 or 98. I find clients come in with blood oxy at 95 - 99 but they are breathing much faster TIA
