You can always use linux, Im sure theirs a distro out their which will allow you to NOT use could computing . Personally , I use cloud services for this I need in various places, like a list of things to buy at wallgreens. Its awesome to have that in the cloud, so i can open up the doc on my phone and view it, after i wrote in on my PC( Linux).

@VideoGuyNC Apple is trying to make a dynamic thing, and tu do that, it needs Cloud. You can stop using apple software at any time. And when I'm saying you cannot afford it, I was not talking about material costs. You can switch to Linux at any time.... And no, cloud does not blow at all, it's just that people reject change.

@VideoGuyNC Oh, sorry for my ignorance, but I do really know what i'm talking about. Dude ChormeOS is the best target of Google Apps system, which is dedicated to enterprise stuff, it has a very low cost management system, and it has a monthly fee based purchase system. I guess you have no basis when you say Windows 8 is gonna be cloud based. Apple is having another approach, they want to get rid of files, they want to get rid of the notion of syncing, they want to get rid of the "save" option

Anybody can do it and nobody can force you into using a service built upon it.
You don't HAVE to use itunes! Maybe take a step back and join a discussion on proprietary software... Way less silly
You always have the option not to use cloud services... No one stops you. Of course there are advantages and disadvantages, and if you cannot afford the disadvantages, you simply DO NOT use cloud services. Nobody forces you to. Chrome OS is targeted. It will not ever, in a million years become mainstream. Chrome OS is specially for the enterprise market, and it's a lightweight, easy-to-use computer for internet accessing. It cannot and will not replace PCs.

@matzipanful Obviously you have NO idea what's going on in the computer market. First of all, ChromeOS is targeted at consumers, (Hence the line of ChromeBooks). Secondly - Have you heard of Windows 8? Almost completely going to be Cloud based. No option. crApple is also moving there as well. Maybe you need to do some research about what's happening in 2011! Cloud computing isn't becoming an option - it's becoming the only option. And it blows as a concept. BTW, I certainly can afford it.

I agree with you.. This might be a like you can't do anything on your computer without actually paying for it. So the providers will reap a lot in this process. Just like we don''t usually generate electricity in home we have to depend on the electric company. Just like this this will end up as a service....
Thank you so much for this video dude!!!!!!!

@vineeth002 Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes that is my fear that they want to make any computing task a "utility" in the sense we would HAVE to have a constant connection with a complete cloud network. That is exactly what google's Chrome OS proves. We don't want this!

@Tr1963Rh4pPy HAHAHAHAHAHA! You're quite possibly correct. To date - Chrome is one of the worst of the pushers of this concept. One should never hand over control of their possessions to large companies. Thanks for watching!
