@lestephenois1 Kindly do not make such comments if you do not know what you are talking about. Hinduism does not advocate caste system. Caste evolved in in certain parts of India as a demarcation based on the work a certain group of people do and later degenerated into the class divide that is prevalent in certain rural areas even today. Hinduism advocates non violence and love for God's creations, be it humans, animals or plants.

@lestephenois1 You're wrong. Buddhists have had their fair share of violence. Thailand, Cambodia are majority Buddhists, do a quick search on these nations and you'll see that they have a bloody past as do most other countries in the world. What about the decades long civil war in Sri Lanka between the Tamil minority and Sinhalese Buddhist majority in the country? Would you call that "non violant". Please don't make generalizations based on religion...

Hinduism,Jainism and Buddhism ARE non violent.
They are pacific with an intense regard for lives of human and animal life.
India probably has 500 million vegetarians.That should speak for itself.

There is not a major religion in this world which isn't voilent. Do you consider hinduism to be non-voilent? you are expresssively told to follow a class system which is basically religious dictatorship. The Jews had there time of terror in which they oppressed the christians and the muslims. The Christians had the crusades and the modern american war which is a minor crusade. And now the Muslims are having this thing. The most popular religion that isn't voilent is Buddhism.
