Let's Talk Green

This year we will start the Climate Compliance Conference at Richmond Vale Academy.
It has Climate Change as its theme and Climate Compliance as it's aim. Climate Compliances is a concept of adaptation to changes of the climate. It is getting warmer, the sea levels are rising, there is more drought, more strong winds and more heavy rains.
The Climate Compliance Conference is a standing conference that is planned to run for 10 years. Two times a year new teams will start at RVA national and international activists who will study and take action in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The conference will focus on food, disaster and energy security.
To launch the program teachers and students from RVA decided to unite with people the nearby communities during Christmas 2011, under the headline "Let's Talk Green".
The RVA team prepared a presentation on Global Warming and Climate Change followed by a Climate Quiz where everyone could participate and it was possible to win a T-Shirt.
Many people of all ages and backgrounds came to participate in the North Leeward villages of Coulls Hill, Rose Bank, Petit Bordel, Rose Hall and Fitz Hughes.
There was a big interest to talk about the climate, the environment and what we together can do to meet the challenges of the future.
