they are my favourite breed, but if you are going to make a breed demo, its NOT a good idea to show kids riding without helmets! I find it rediculous that people show saddlebreds and dont wear helmets! injured heads dont heal like broken arms and legs do, lets update the saddlebred classes and list helmets on the required headgear list!
My rescued registered saddlebred "New Prospect" is the best friend i have ever had!! I glad that saddlebred rescue found him, before he got sluaghtered!
The versatility of the Saddlebred, mentioned in this wonderful video, reminds me of my 1st gaited show horse. Quincy was a last minute stand-in for my injured show horse. When he was offered to me, Quincy was retired from showing and had been huntseat schooling kids over jumps. He arrived, going right to work, switching disciplines, and homes, and entering show training really late. We had a great show season & ever since, I have been hooked on the amazing Saddlebred! To me, nothing compares!
