Sydney Gathering 08

OK, so I wasn't really aiming to have a coherent video out of this Gathering which is why this tends to the more 'random' side of things. I haven't seen too much in other people's videos from the pub at the end of the night though which was a huge amount of fun!

The basic plan for the day was to meet up at Circular Quay and chat for a while, go get lunch, head over to Manly on the ferry for a beer, then back to the city. After that we went to a karaoke bar, got rained on waiting for taxis, got a huge amount of grief for trying to take cameras into the nightclub where we had booked, so we abandoned it for a regular pub which was sooo much better! After a drunken stagger through the city looking for a taxi, my head hit the pillow at 4:30 AM.

The day was absolutely amazing, and it gave me a great opportunity to meet a lot of the Australian YouTubers who I haven't had much contact with in the past. My partners in crime for the day were TheRavenOfPoe and FabianaRickman who flew in from Brazil the night before just to come over & play. [Fabiana - you owe me for not including your zombie impression photo in this video!]

Once again, I can't recommend Gatherings highly enough. This was my second one (the other being Munich 888) and they are simply brilliant. Make time to get to one - you won't regret it.

Oh absolutely! I told everyone that would listen! It was also the first time I'd seen Jen since I'd been to Munich so I had a lot of stuff for her including the napkin Regina wrote on for everyone to read her greeting from.

And a fantastic time was had by all! GREAT video, Michael!! Wish I could have been there. Loved the stills at the end. The only fault I could find is that you didn't turn the camera on yourself! Loved it, though.
