Canadian Pastor Don Richardson is not only well-known internationally as an Evangelist, but also as a teacher, Bible translator, artist and author. He wrote his famous book Peace Child about his years of living amongst the stone-age Sawi tribe on the Indonesian island of Irian Jaya. He and his young family spent fifteen years with the Sawi during that time, he learned their language and their culture; taught them how to read and write, and also translated Scriptures into their language. Another of Don Richardsons books, Eternity in Their Hearts, documents the way that God has prepared cultures all around the world, to receive the Gospel - in what he calls a redemptive analogy. Don Richardson spoke to Allan Lee about what it was like to arrive at the Sawi village of headhunters, with his wife and his baby son .. and what he found when he got there.
