    The science behind AGW is nowhere near as straightforward as we've been led to believe.

    In any case, we need should try to find cheap, renewable energy instead of coal and oil. That's something that we can all agree on.

    I want humanity to be godlike. The fossil fuels civilization is crap. I've been spoiled by sci-fi as a little kid and thus when the real world falls short of my expectations of a post-scarcity society with technological immortality and interstellar colonies (instead choosing to waste time on conflicts over crap like religion and national sovereignty) I grow ever more misanthropic yet lustful for power to be able to change it all to my liking.

    AAhh, climate change... if it wasn't for this nonsense, we would all focus our efforts on stopping Monsanto and their war waged on the genetic level to enslave all the food on earth.

    Watch the "future of food" and "the world according to monsanto" for more.

A real question that needs to be answered. one question I have is why does the GM created EV-1 or EV1 created in 1994 0r 1996 get listed as a must destroy a 600 mile range 90mph car; " and did you see : "who killed the electric car"?;

    but nice one! go on google;

    That said, you do have a point.

    Almost all the advances in automotive engine tech since the early 1980's have lead to higher horsepower, not higher mileage.

    And frankly, Cellulosic Ethanol Tech, is exactly the same infrastructure used for Coal-to-Liquids. And you can't really stop other countries if they want to go ahead with that.

    And there isn't even possibly enough Sugar Cane ethanol to power a fraction of our transport fuels
