The bass clef is easy to learn when you notice that it contains the musical alphabet within. It has a property of symmetry that is lacking from the treble clef, and this symmetry allows a simple transition to an alternative chromatic music notation.

Practice reading traditional bass clef as well as Express Stave notation, and see if you can name the ten tunes at the end!

  • Tune1- I belive it is "3 Blind Mice" Tune2-Mary had a little lamb Tune3-I don't know Tune4-I don't know that one either |D Tune5-One again I don't know Tune6-Don't know again Tune7-Yankee Doodle Tune8-Don't know...again Tune9-? Tune10-Unknown Very good video, its clever how you noticed that middle B looks like a ball on a roof, very clever ^_^
  • @overexcited18 Thanks for trying! Tune 1 is like 3 Blind Mice at the start, but is usually called Hot Cross Buns, although it is not the proper tune for this, so I'll let you have that. Score 3 out of 10, could do better lol.

  • Thanks for the video, the section at the start helped me remember the bass clef notes which I often get confused with the treble clef ones. Also I like the idea that you are pushing a new innovative style of notation.
