2009, June. I was on hollidays in France.
My dogs and I were going on a 5 days long training course with Philippe Heintz, who is one of the very best sheepdogs handlers in France.
The first sequence of the video features one of the border collie trial steps, ( about french grade 2 distances), witch is called "Driving":
The handler must remain at the the post from the commencement of the run.
Sheeps must be driven though 2 sets of gates (here featured by little cones, too far too be seen on the vidéo) , so that they describe a triangular course.
On the last sequence of the video, Blue Boy is working on other sheeps breed, mixed "soays" , that are very, very speed, as you can see ( Philippe said that they are "flyin sheeps", lol )
You can see how Blue Boy adapts the way he works, by widenning naturally much more his circles courses, and keeping larger distances from these sheeps than from the first ones.
Blue Boy is a good boy :-)
******************************************
Sorry, I have not translated because the text is not really important. Yes, on this vidéo we are going on a 5 days training course with Phillippe Heintz . According to your comment, I have annoted more informations ( in english, at this time! ) on the right side of this page. Thank you for your attention.
