The 90th annual Liffey Swim took place on Sat 12 Sept.In the waves just beyond Watling Street Bridge on Victoria Quay and hundreds (approx. 400) of swimmers swam down the Liffey to the IFSC (at George's Dock). It is approx 2 km of a swim. http://www.swimleinster.com/opensea.htm It is interesting to watch this spectacle from dry and rat-free land! And you might have seen the famous William Butler Yeats painting of this even in the National Gallery? http://www.bertc.com/subtwo/g108/yeats18.htm
