The Disasters of War

This video is a photomontage of old and new artistes work involving war. It was produced with urgency due the the developing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Este video es un fotomontaje del trabajo de artistas y fotografos, particularmente donde civiles inocentes estan involucrados. La mayor cantidad de estas fotos fueron tomadas en Gaza 2009.

We wish to thank to all the artistes involved. Their names are, among many, Francisco Goya (1746-1828) with paintings and sketches for The Disasters of War about the Napoleonic wars; Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) for Guernica about the Nazi bombing of a Basque town; and Zdzislaw Beksinski (1929-2005) for describing a post-apocalyptic world.

We also thank the photographers who risk their lives to bring you the pictures of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and other wars.

Pictures in this video photomontage are of the current Gaza war(December 2008-January 2009) and the Lebanon war(2006).

This film is dedicated to the civilian victims of war and ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN.

This video was produced by The South London Documentary Unit. It was lent to other You Tube websites to increase exposure and help bring about a ceasefire.

You forget that the State of Israel also lives on handouts. The US hands out many billions of dollares a year, plus training and free weaponry. Both nations (Israel and Palestine) are a bit of a joke at the moment. This is why a solution has to be found.
